Grand Lake Update
Attention Anglers:::: Today has been full of phone conversations, texting and work. After talking with the GRDA at Grove, OK, City of Grove, Nichols Marine and again GRDA. As of 5:30 pm, It has been determined that the lake is open for fishing and the GRDA has no plans of pulling regattas. Wolf Creek Park has been closed by the City of Grove, Nichols Marine now owns Martin"s Landing, and after talking with Gary Nichols, he has no problem with us launching our tournament from Martin's Landing.
I have talked with several anglers and their opinions have been mixed, I have discussed all this information with my staff and believe that changing the ramp location to Martin's Landing. I have contacted the GRDA and they are amending our regatta to reflect this change. However, will be be changing the take off time to 7:15 am so we have better light conditions for early morning boating.
So with all this said, We are planning of fishing at Grand Lake on the 29th launching from Martin's Landing at 7:15 am.
